Improving data deliveries BAM to TenneT
BIM-Connected is helping BAM Energie & Water take big steps toward data-centric working! This approach allows the organization to standardize more and more processes, creating a more efficient way of working that saves both time and money.
One of the projects we’re supporting BAM with is the data handover process to TenneT. BAM Energie & Water is one of six parties carrying out civil works for cable connections on behalf of TenneT’s EU-302 program over the coming years. A key requirement for this project is information exchange based on open standards like linked data. BAM asked BIM-Connected to assist during the tender process and, after securing the project, to help make it happen.
To enable information exchange in linked data, we’re consolidating all the organization’s systems into a single shared data model, which serves as the foundation for delivering information. On the flip side, we ensure BAM can receive and merge data into its systems for seamless processing.
For BAM, this project is one piece of a bigger puzzle. The ultimate goal? To make data exchange smarter, easier and of high quality for information exchange processes across all projects, driving further standardization. By taking steps forward in every project, they’re getting closer to that vision — and we’re proud to play a role in this journey!
